How Much Is a Home Care Franchise with Griswold? Will I Need Experience? Check Out Some FAQs

Buying a franchise is a big decision, and it’s important that you fully explore the opportunity before making an investment. At Griswold Home Care, we want to make sure you have as much information as possible before going forward. Below are answers to a few of the most common questions prospective franchisees ask.

Griswold Home Care is the first non-medical home care franchise in the United States. Founded by Jean Griswold in 1982, after she realized a lack of care and resources available to many seniors and adults with disabilities, we’ve grown into one of the most respected and successful franchise systems in the country. Jean’s legacy of empathy and compassion is at the heart of who we are today. Our franchise owners are among the longest-tenured and highest-performing in our industry, and The American Association of Franchisees and Dealers named Griswold Home Care the Franchisor of the Year in both 2017 and 2019.

Griswold Home Care provides important services that seniors, disabled adults, and those with illnesses need to remain independent, active, and healthy at home. These include:

  • Homemaking care
  • Personal care
  • Companion care
  • Respite care
  • Live-in and overnight care
  • Hospice support
  • And much more!

Becoming part of the Griswold franchisee family will make you a valuable resource in your community.

Ours is a low-cost investment opportunity with the potential for high rewards. Franchise fees for your first territory will range from $49,500 to $54,500, depending on the size of the territory you purchase. Your total initial investment will range between $95,850 and $174,100.

We work with several third-party financial institutions that may be able to assist you with your financing needs.

No specific industry experience is necessary to become a franchisee! However, we do want all candidates to demonstrate a proven track record of leadership experience, possess an entrepreneurial spirit, be able to manage people while building a Griswold culture, and be willing to follow our proven business model.

There’s a good reason why Griswold Home Care is a leader in our industry. Our team works tirelessly to make sure our franchisees meet with success from the moment they sign the franchise agreement. We offer extensive training and support to help you launch your business, including two weeks of owner training, field support for your grand opening, and ongoing training and support for you and your staff. We also offer tips for hiring the best employees, how to make more sales, and how to build a strong referral base of customers. You are in business for yourself, but not by yourself!

We only require that you have an office. The rest is up to you. We’re always here to answer any questions you might have on this matter and to provide advice as to what area may be best for your business.

This will depend on the number of clients you’re helping. To start, you’ll only need a few caregivers and either a full-time marketer or a care coordinator to help you get your business rolling. As you grow, you’ll need to hire accordingly. Our team can help you hire the best caregivers during your training session. We’ll also help you scale your business in a smart way that will enable you to hire more employees and take on more jobs.

Being successful as a Griswold Home Care franchisee requires an ability to follow procedures, systems, and processes. We believe veterans are uniquely qualified in this way. They also generally possess the desire to help others and make a difference in their communities. All of these qualities are at the heart of who we are. With a proven business model and extensive training and support, we are a great fit for honorably discharged veterans who are looking to open their own business. They are also eligible to receive a 20% discount on their first franchise fee.
