The Griswold Home Care Story

How many people get to go to work each day knowing their careers mean more than a paycheck? When you can combine a meaningful living with a meaningful life, work becomes fulfilling. This was something our founder, Jean Griswold, understood clearly. As a personal care professional, she noticed the elderly, particularly lower-income seniors, lacked the assistance they needed in the way of companion care, meal prep, light housekeeping, and more to live independently at home. She was determined to address this need and, in 1982, started her own senior care business. Her early success led her to franchise the opportunity in 1984, and from there, the Griswold Home Care brand was born.
